Project Management Software for Client Work

Updated 11 July 2026

Sprints, kanban boards, task tracking, and timelines built for agencies and teams running multiple client projects at once.

Key highlights

  • Sprint planning, backlog, and a drag-and-drop kanban board
  • Custom workflows and item types per project — not a fixed status list
  • Tree view and timeline (Gantt-style) for full-project visibility
  • Project-specific roles and permissions for external collaborators
  • Automatic overdue-task email and in-app alerts

Features

Sprint Board & Backlog

Plan sprints, groom the backlog, and track velocity across active and planned sprints — separate from the full task list so the board only ever loads what it needs.

Kanban Board

Drag-and-drop task cards across your team's own workflow columns, with instant optimistic updates so the board never feels like it's waiting on the network.

Tree View & Timeline

See every task in one hierarchical list with full filtering, or switch to a due-date timeline view for a Gantt-style read on project pacing.

Custom Workflows & Item Types

Define your own status stages and task types per project instead of being boxed into a generic To Do / In Progress / Done list.

Project-Specific Roles

Create custom roles scoped to a single project with a resource × action permission matrix — useful for contractors or external collaborators who need narrower access than a full project manager.

Project Documents

Attach Google Drive, SharePoint, or Notion links to a project so the whole team has one place to find external reference material.

Overdue Task Alerts

Assignees get an automatic email and in-app notification once a day for any task that's past its due date and not yet in a finished status — no manual chasing.

How project management works in Dharayana

  1. Create a project — Set up a project inside your workspace and invite your team.
  2. Configure workflows and item types — Define the status stages and task types that match how your team actually works.
  3. Plan a sprint — Move tasks from the backlog into a sprint and track velocity as work gets done.
  4. Track work on the board — Use the kanban board for day-to-day progress or the tree view when you need the full filtered task list.
  5. Review progress — Check the project summary dashboard for status distribution, priority breakdown, and member workload.
Can clients see my project boards?

No. Project management is for your internal team only. If you want to share select project progress with a client, install the Client Portal app, which gives clients a separate, read-only view scoped to just the projects you assign them.

Does it support agile sprints?

Yes. The Sprint Board tracks active and planned sprints with a backlog, and the project summary dashboard charts sprint velocity over time.

Can I customize the task status stages?

Yes — each project defines its own workflows (status stages) and item types (task categories) instead of a fixed global list, so different teams or project types can work differently.

Can I give an external collaborator limited access to one project?

Yes. Project managers can create custom, project-specific roles with a permission matrix controlling exactly which resources (tasks, sprints, members, workflows) that role can act on.

Is this app installed by default?

Yes — Project Management is installed automatically on every new workspace, alongside GST Invoicing (installed separately) and the Client Portal.
