How to start invoicing in Dharayana
- Install the Invoicing app — Add it to your workspace from the dashboard — it isn't installed by default.
- Set up your business profile — Add your GSTIN, state, logo, and preferred payment link or UPI ID in Settings.
- Add a client — Enter your client's name, GSTIN (optional), and address, or import them while creating your first invoice.
- Create your first invoice — Add line items with HSN/SAC codes — GST mode and the CGST/SGST vs IGST split are computed automatically.
- Send or download — Email the invoice as a PDF directly to your client, or download it for your own records.
- Track payment — Record full or partial payments as they come in and watch the invoice status update.
Is this the same as the free GST invoice generator tool?
No. The free GST Invoice Generator at /tools/gst-invoice-generator is a no-login, no-save calculator for a one-off invoice PDF. This GST Invoicing app is the full installable workspace product — it saves your clients and invoices, tracks payments and outstanding amounts, sends automated reminders, and generates GSTR-1-ready reports. Many people start with the free tool and move to this app once they need to track more than a single invoice.
Do I need to install this separately from Project Management?
Yes. GST Invoicing is not installed by default — a workspace admin installs it from the workspace dashboard. Project Management, by contrast, is installed automatically on every new workspace.
Can I use it if I'm not GST-registered?
Yes. GSTIN is optional on both your business profile and client records — invoices for unregistered parties simply compute with GST mode set to "none".
Is there a free plan?
Yes — the Free plan supports up to 50 invoices and 20 clients. Pro and Enterprise plans remove those limits and unlock AI assist.
Does it handle TDS?
Yes — TDS can be added as an optional deduction on any invoice under sections 194J, 194C, or 194H, and is aggregated automatically in the Reports TDS Summary.
